New Braunfels, where she grew up as a New Braunfels Mighty Unicorn. She first developed a passion for the broadcasting arts by listening to Kidd Kraddick in the Morning on her local radio station in middle school. Luckily, her school had a Multimedia class where she learned the basics of graphics and video editing. In eighth grade, she helped design her school's yearbook and anchored the middle school's morning news.

The passion was even more alive when she went to high school. After taking a journalism class and learning basic photography skills freshman year, she knew she was on the path to her future. From sophomore to senior year, she spent her days filming and editing video packages using Final Cut Pro. She anchored and edited the high school's newscast frequently. She also sideline reported the football and basketball games, (and occasionally sang the National Anthem at those games too!)

She became a Texas Longhorn in August of 2012 and immediately started volunteering for the campus newscast. Through Texas Student Television, she found that the passion she developed for broadcast early on could be put to the test there. She was able to gain on-camera anchoring experience through Texas Student Television on the morning and evening newscasts.

Stacy was one of only 40 undergraduate students chosen to attend the University of Texas Semester in Los Angeles Program for Fall 2015. She was the sole fall intern for Young Hollywood, whose state-of-the-art production studio is located in Beverly Hills, California. Through Young Hollywood, Stacy gained real-world experience in the Entertainment Industry. The company had her writing editorials, composing questions and interviewing artists, keeping the studio running smoothly, and serving as press for events like iHeartRadio Music Festival and South By Southwest.

During her senior year at UT Austin, Stacy was a Reporter for Texas Newswatch, a weekly student-run newscast. In May 2016, Stacy graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism.

FOX34, the Fox affiliate in Lubbock, was her first news job after graduation. Stacy was an anchor three nights a week and also reported on Lubbock's booming agriculture market, prestigious medical field, and growing education.

After leaving Lubbock, Stacy took a job at Spectrum News 1 Texas. The station, located in Austin, prides itself on a 24-hour newscast that it set apart from the rest with character-driven storytelling. She is a multimedia journalist and a "one-woman show," juggling camera work behind and in front of it, video editing, script writing, and creating digital content. She started at the Texas station in the Hill Country Bureau covering stories mainly in Hays and Comal counties. She also frequently filled in as an Austin and San Antonio reporter.

Spectrum News 1 Texas expanded its news coverage to statewide in mid-2020, adding a newsroom in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex, where Stacy can currently be found. She is a general assignment reporter, meaning she can report on whatever news of the day is needed. She frequently reports on public policy, focusing on Dallas infrastructure and urban planning.
